Doggie Boot Camp 2015 is upon us!

May 18, 2015 |

Dear all,
I’m sure you all are aware – we are holding our annual Doggie Boot Camp in glorious Kent, nr. Gillingham, between 26 July and 1 August this year. (as always, we are setting up from the day before if any of you would like to arrive earlier)

The theme of the Camp is set to be Conditioned Relaxation (or, put in dog terms, remaining chilled or merely staying back and minding their own business whilst learning to relax no matter what!) and I am sure you will find the whole project relaxing too. Yes, it is a week of Holidaying and a week of training for dogs and humans alike!

The fee for the whole week of Camping, Training and holidaying is £300 (for the family of two adults, two kids and up to two dogs) when pre-booked and will be £330 if not secured with non-refundable deposit of £50, and daily visitor’s fee is £60 for those guests who wish to just drop-in and not stay with us on site. Please email us for a booking form now if you don’t wish to miss out! We will be inviting owners with their dogs from all over the country (and abroad) to join us for this renown Camp to join us and our doggie commune in controlled training environment, helped by a number of trainers, with tons of activities planned, and numerous training techniques brought to the table so that every person and every dog discovers what works, what works better and what makes your dog just perfect.

The site provides a secure and secluded camping field set in the middle of this huge country park, lockable gates, a huge parking area, and a flat field surrounded by trees for comfort and cosy feeling. There’s a hot and cold shower block with toilets and washing facilities and cafes. It is conveniently located just far enough from all the hustle and bustle of the city life but at the same time close enough to shops, train and bus station, and London so you don’t feel lost in the wilderness!
With a huge 75% rate of returning visitors, we would like to point out that booking is advisable as we don’t want you to miss out on it – after all, there’s a reason we have been holding these camps since 2000, and many years before that back in Russia, where Dima came from.

With a range of disciplines including Agility to Flyball to Nose Work to Competitive Obedience, Freestyle and Heelwork to Music, Gundog Training to Coursing and many others, and many activities planned such as Seaside walk & swim, cross-country walks, Treasure Hunts, BBQs, Bonfire, competitions and games on site it’s no surprise that our Camp has been full for many years, and we hope that you will find time to try it for yourself, either staying for the whole week, or just booking a day or two (we have a daily visitor’s fee of £60) – you will love it anyway! We have large, stand-in, tents to hire out at £50 per week, and small ones at £10. Some visitors choose to stay on-site in tents or caravans, some retire to comfort of local B&Bs and hotels – the choice is yours, and we will be there to help you with your needs – just ask!
Handouts, sample packs and freebies will be plentiful, classes – you will be surprised at how much we can fit into one week, and atmosphere – well, this is why we are back year after year – we can’t wait to return to our biggest project of all!

Places are limited so please contact Linda Perry or me via Facebook or email: linda.perry25@gmail.com or dimadogs@hotmail.com
May you have questions, special requests or unsure about some of it – we’ll be glad to help!

Not all dogs are calm and happy all the time. Hardly any really. Many dogs lose their homes and their lives due to inability to manage their emotions and cope with stressors. We like teaching dogs to recognize and manage their own mental state, a process called “Conditioned Relaxation.” Good read here: https://paws4udogs.wordpress.com/…/relax-already-how-to-co…/
